Who's actually behind it
I'm Byron Daniele, a sole trader in the NSW Hills District. There's no marketing team here and no call centre — when you email support, I'm the one who reads it.
I say that because the category we sell into is full of stores that pretend to be bigger than they are. I'd rather you knew the size of the operation before you order than after.
How a product gets on this site
Not many do. Before anything gets listed, it has to survive a few questions that have nothing to do with whether it would sell:
What does it physically do? Not what it's marketed as — what the mechanism actually is. If I can't explain it in plain language, it doesn't go up.
What can we prove? If there's published research on the method, we'll cite it and link it, including the parts that don't flatter us. If there isn't, we say so rather than implying there is.
What does it not do? Every product page here has a section about the limits. That's deliberate. A product that only sells when you overstate it isn't one worth selling.
What we won't do
We won't borrow social proof. New products on this site have no star rating and no review count, because we have no customers for them yet. You'll see plenty of stores in our categories quoting thousands of reviews. We'd rather show you an empty slot than a borrowed number.
We won't invent urgency. No countdown timers, no "only 3 left" when there aren't, no sale that never ends.
We won't make health claims. We sell appliances and accessories, not treatments. Where a product touches on skin or wellbeing, we describe the method and cite what's published — we don't tell you what it will do to your body.
